1Cup Flour (Any will work. Exact ratio of flour to cottage cheese may need to be altered)
1Cup Cottage Cheese (Preferably small curd but any size and fat percentage will work)
1 1/2tsp baking powder (Unless using self-rising flour)
Toppings and Mix-ins
Everything Bagel Seasoning
Asiago Cheese
Parmesan Cheese
Shredded Cheese
Berries (May alter water content in the bagels)
Chocolate Chips
Instructions
1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees
2
If you want a smoother bagel blend the cottage cheese but this is an optional step if using small curd.
3
Combine the flour and baking powder in a bowl. Add the cottage cheese and stir until it becomes a dough. If dough is too sticky or dry add more flour or milk respectively until it forms the proper consistency.
4
Use a clean floured surface to work the dough. If using mix-ins add either here or right after dividing and work them into the dough. Kneed into large ball then divide equally into four chunks.
5
Roll into a log about 6 inches long then join the ends together to get the ring bagel shape.
6
Put the bagels on a parchment paper lined baking tray.
7
Sprinkle any toppings on (May need to press a bit to make sure they stick).
8
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until top is golden brown.
9
If using an airfryer disregard the oven steps and air fry at 280 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
