3sweet peppers (Substitution for Fresno and Thai chili that I didn’t have)
2green onions
1 1/2oz packet of Fresh Basil (Recipe called for 2 cups of fresh basil. I just got one ½ oz package from Walmart and had it with less)
4cloves minced garlic
1egg(optional)
Sauce:
3tbsp soy sauce
2tbsp oyster sauce
1tbsp fish sauce
2tsp sweetener
¼ cup water
Instructions
1
Mix all the sauce ingredients together in a bowl.
2
Slice the chicken into strips and cook until cooked through. (I cooked the chicken before hand then cut into strips for the recipe). Slice and or dice the shallots/onion. Cut the chilis/peppers into small strips. Chop green onions.
3
Oil your pan and add the shallots or onion and cook until they begin to soften.
4
Add garlic and chilis/peppers and ck another couple minutes.
5
Add the chicken and cook another 3 minutes
6
Pour in the sauce and green onions and stir to coat everything and cook for another 3 minutes.
7
Turn off the heat and stir in the basil
8
Cook egg if adding as well as any other sides.
9
Scoop the chicken and sauce on top of the sides then add the egg on top of all of it if you included an egg.
Note
Made some major changes from the recipe I saw. The original called for ground chicken instead of chicken strips and it had more basil in it and fresno and thai chilis instead of sweet peppers. Even with the changes it was still I good light meal.
