  1. Rinse and drain chickpeas.
  2. Add tahini and lemon juice to food processor or blender and blend for a minute and a half pausing to scrap the sides as needed in this and remaining blending steps.
  3. Add remaining mix in ingredients except the chickpeas and blend for another minute.
  4. Add in chickpeas in partial amounts and blend to smooth before adding more. Keep this cycle going until all chickpeas are added and blended and hummus is thick and smooth.
  5. Add toppings to the hummus before serving
